Carolyn Doelling is an inspiration for tackling new challenges at any age after becoming a model at 74 –years old. Doelling also dabbles in writing and kickboxing too. Before beginning her modeling career, the 74-year-old woman worked in corporate America and did philanthropy work. After Doelling retired and begin feeling underestimated by people, Doelling started adding color to her wardrobe and wrote an article titled “I Refuse to be Invisible.” After the publishing of her article, she visited a boutique in Oakland, CA. It was there she talked about women her age adding more swagger to the way they dress. This became the driving force behind her modeling career. Doelling feels there is always time to reinvent and reboot yourself. After the visit to that boutique the owner called Doelling back, asking her to model for the store.
