Reviewing the Vivo V40 Pro global smartphone, one of the best of 2024 for battery life, with upgrades to the gaming performance and camera vs the V30 series. The Vivo V40 Pro has been a joy to use this past week, proving smooth and stress free. Here's hoping it comes to the UK, rather than only being available on import! That camera setup is once again a collab with Zeiss, now with Sony's IMX921 sensor for the main shooter. You've also got a Portrait sensor, using the IMX816 - which allows you to get crisp shots of your fam with the Vivo V40 Pro from a distance. Overall it's a solid arrangement, although low light shooting can suffer and there are too many filter options/modes. In addition, the battery life is absolutely ridiculous. The Vivo V40 Pro can last for two days fairly comfortably on a single charge, with 80W charging when you're running low. Performance has also been upgraded vs the V30 Pro, with a fresher Dimensity chipset meaning smooth gaming. Besides that, the Vivo V40 Pro offers most of the same features seen on the previous generation. Not too shocking as it's only been six months!
