She has a daughter in college, a son in the Marines, and works a full-time teaching job at the university level. She was diagnosed with PBC in 2013. Nishele follows her healthcare provider’s suggestions and is leading a very healthy lifestyle. Nishele finds it comforting to stay up to date on the latest PBC research and learn as much as she can about her disease. Nishele is not the only one in her family with PBC. Her mother was also diagnosed with the disease about 1 year after Nishele’s diagnosis. Today, Nishele is doing what she can to manage her disease and is focused on living her life to the fullest.
