See Jane's full presentation from Swift Heroes, 7-8 April, hosted in Turin and also broadcast globally. During this session I want to talk about why do you need to know design basics (such as color theory, typography, etc.) to be a better developer and what value this knowledge can bring to the product you work on. In the second part (after persuading everyone that it is important, ha-ha :) ), I'm gonna, actually, give the audience a clue what are this basics, starting from revising Apple Human Interface guidelines, moving on to nuances of color and typography usage. Also I'll talk about how to "read" mockups that was provided by your mate designer, to understand layout principles behind them, in order not to screw up while implementing this design. And, finally, I want to talk about such important UX principles as handling loading, empty states and requesting permissions to system resources, which are usually misused by developers, which leads to poor user experience. #SwiftHeroes22 Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/SwiftHeroes Tweet: @swiftheroes_it Connect: https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/swift-heroes/ Read: https://telegram.me/swiftheroes
