Spice rub: 2 tsp sea salt 1 tsp ground black pepper 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp chilli powder 1 tsp dry Mexican oregano 1 tsp dry thyme 1 tbsp garlic powder 1 tbsp onion powder 1-1/2 tbsp brown sugar Season the ribs with the spice rub(front, back and sides). Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour, don’t cover Bake in preheated 275F oven until the meat is tender, about 3 1/2 - 4 hours 1-1/2 cup barbecue sauce Brush the cooked ribs with barbecue sauce and bake in preheated 400F oven for 7 minutes.
