Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary is a wonderful sanctuary not far from Freetown in Sierra Leone. Here they rescue chimpanzees and rehabilitate them. Tacugama is open to the public to visit, although no interaction with animals is allowed and strict rules have to be followed to protect the chimps.
