Troyer Talk #16 If you are walking through downtown from the hours of 12-3 you will probably think that the businesses have closed for the day or perhaps forever. But if you walk down that same street a few hours later, you would never guess the store were dark only a short time before. Riposo is a foreign concept to Americans but is very comparable to what I have heard it is like to live in Central America where they have siestas in the afternoons. Check out this video to learn more about this culture shock and why you can't get your errands done in the afternoon in Italy. One small note, in larger cities where they have a lot of tourist traffic, they are less likely to close during the day. www.patreon.com/troyerstravels www.cafepress.com/troyerstravels Check out my books at www.amazon.com/author/davidhtroyer and check out my exploring Europe series on Kindle Vella.
