My Amazon Wishlist: Link: http://a.co/a7rqM2e Ingredients: Cake Ingredients: 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 cups of all purpose or bread flour (more as needed) 1 package of instant yeast 1 teaspoon kosher salt 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 egg 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp whole milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Filling: 1/4 cup butter at room temp 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon cinnamon Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1- 3 tablespoons of milk (or melted butter) Link to the actual recipe: https://www.dixiecrystals.com/recipes/mardi-gras-king-cake Please note that I made some adjustments to the recipe after doing thorough research. The adjustments I made should make, making the King Cake a bit easier. I also felt the recipe had way too much yeast, more than what was necessary. If you’re going to make the complete recipe, only use 2 packages of yeast. It will be enough for the full recipe.
