The three members of St. Phillip's Escalator have been a staple of Rochester's music scene for over a decade. After recording a full-length in 2006, and then going on an extended hiatus, the 60's/70's infused garage rock trio returned in 2015 with their EP, Elevation. Borrowing inspiration from rock legends like The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Small Faces, The Who, Iggy Pop and from contemporary garage like Rochester legends The Chesterfield Kings, St. Phillip's Escalator keep the spirit of rock n' roll alive in ROC City. The band will be releasing an all new LP in 2016 as well. We caught up with them performing some of their best cuts, old and new.
