The sand dunes at the Namibian coast draws crowds from all over the world. Majestic and beautiful, they are very much a feature of life for the locals. In this video, you will see some footage of the Sand Dunes as they are being created and shoved around by the wind. Particles of sand is picked up by the wind, and pushed along the ground until they hit an obstacle. At the obstacle, the sand particle either gets lodged, or is rolled around the obstacle with the wind. It's only when the sand falls into an area with no wind that will make it stop rolling. With stronger winds more and bigger particles are moved. Where does the sand come from? Completely different question, and not the subject of this video. Growing up in Walvis Bay where you can see the dunes from the middle of the town, one gets to know a little bit about them. In the time lapse of the area South of Walvis Bay, you can see the sand dunes approach the town over a period of ten years. #madewithkdenlive #awesomechapters #awesomenature
