In this video I am going to show you how to use chord extensions on guitar and add some great colors to your chord. I will go over two ways you can explore this than can really help you create some beautiful jazz chords. You can easily do this by applying some really simple music theory to the instrument and you will strengthen your fretboard knowledge in the process. I will give you some ideas on how to get started with this way of thinking and show you how you can use it to create new chord voicings from the ones you already know or build completely new ones. Both approaches were for me a great way to explore harmony and extend my chord vocabulary. In Jazz Chord Extensions are not only about the color of the chord but also a way to get the ability to create interesting melodies while comping and reacting to the soloist you are playing behind.
