The Second Battle of Fallujah was a major US offensive during the Iraq War and the first battle of that conflict solely against insurgents. The battle required methodical block-to-block, house-to-house, room-to-room fighting, some of the heaviest urban combat since the Vietnam War’s Battle of Hue City.
