"Big Mouth", 2000. Uilus formed in 1996. The group released some demos throughout 1997 and 1998, and also appeared on the "Dracula Monster" omnibus in December of 1998 as well. Later that month, Uilus released its first mini-album, "Utsukushisa wo Migite ni, Minikusa wo Hidarite ni (美しさを右手に、醜さを左手に)", which had mediocre sales. Uilus went on to release four more demos throughout 1999, and also appeared on the "Fake or Real Vol: 1" VHS omnibus that July as well. In early 2000, drummer Kazuma left. He was immediately replaced by Fuuji (風児), and in September of 2000, Uilus released their second mini-album, "Big Mouth", which, unlike their previous releases, proved to be a surprise underground smash. The group then released four more demos throughout 2000, and with the ton of material Uilus was releasing, the group eventually garnered one of the largest followings in the underground visual scene by the time 2001 started. In March of 2001, Uilus released their third mini-album, "Spring!", and the group toured quite extensively throughout the remainder of 2001. In September of 2001, Uilus released their first single "I'm Sorry Mother!", which was released at only a few of their lives. By early 2002, Uilus's visual image decreased immensely, and the group then released their first full length album, "Trouble Travel", in April of 2002, and also appeared on the "Happy?" omnibus a month later. The album had horrendously poor sales, but Uilus attempted to push onward, and the group then released their sixth mini-album, "04 Life", that November. The album, although it had slightly better sales, still was a tremendous flop in the visual underground, although Uilus tried to go onward and toured throughout the remainder of 2002 and most of 2003 quite heavily. In September of 2003, Uilus released their fifth mini-album "Sunny (サニー)", which sold so terribly, copies of it are incredibly hard to find today as a result. Uilus spent the rest of the year touring quite extensively throughout numerous indies venues across Japan, and eventually announced their official disbandment in December of 2003. The group played their final live in February of 2004, and split up immediately afterwards. Fuuji and one of the guitarists of Uilus, Takashi, both went on to refocus their attention on their other group, GrimLopEar29Q, which they formed when Uilus was on the verge of disbanding. In June of 2004, however, Takashi left GrimLopEar29Q and then retired from the visual scene. Fuuji, however, remained active in GrimLopEar29Q until its eventual disbandment in early 2006. He then became a support musician for multiple underground and visual artists, which he is still active as today. In 2017, frontman Kentaro returned to the underground music scene after over a decade of retirement to start a solo career under his full name of Miki Fujisue (藤末樹), which he is still active in today.
