A crowd of tourists were treated to an explosive display on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland as the Fagradalsfjall volcano continued to erupt on May 4. This footage, taken by tourist Aaron James Kelly, shows the volcano dramatically spewing lava into the air as a crowd watches from a safe vantage point. “You can feel the breath from the volcano. It’s like a geyser, only going off every five to 10 minutes. But when it does, it’s just as impressive as the last. You have to be careful because remnants from the volcano can land near you, but they should have cooled down by the time they land. They make great souvenirs,” Kelly told Storyful. The Icelandic Meteorological Office said the eruption at Fagradalsfjall remains stable, but that they continue to monitor the site. The volcano began erupting on March 15.
