Back when it was hard to come by on the western side of the Iron Curtain, G. Gordon Liddy pronounced the Czechoslovakian CZ 75, "An excellent pistol." Brownells Gun Tech Steve Ostrem concurs in this edition of From the Vault. Introduced in 1975 and now imported to the U.S. by CZ-USA, the CZ 75 was one of the early "Wonder Nines" with a 15-round double-stack magazine and a versatile single- or double-action first shot option. The low-riding barrel and slide produce an excellent center of gravity that makes the CZ 75 exceptionally "pointable" and comfortable to shoot. As Steve says, "This gun feels like it was meant to be in your hand."
