Your childhood is when you are supposed to have the best time of your life. In developmental psychology, your childhood is when it determines how you relate to others as you get older. How you were treated as a child will affect your relationships with others. What happens when you or someone experiences a childhood trauma or PTSD? Subtle signs of a childhood ptsd could include a child's inability to connect with others, repressed memories, withdrawing from relationships, or over-taking on the role of a helper, happiness that seems exaggerated, feelings of emptiness and so much more. These are just some subtle (non clinical) signs of childhood abuse, or emotional abuse, but please be sure to talk to a real professional if you want to get help.
