Elton singing in French! This was the original version of "Nobody Wins", a song on Elton's 1981 album "The Fox". Written by Jean-Paul Dreau, the title means "I Want Tenderness". Elton had heard Janic Prevost sing it on the radio in France, and wanted to do an English version of it. Gary Osborne wrote the lyrics "Nobody Wins" for Elton to sing in English.
