Sewing a quilt with no experience. What can go wrong? Surprisingly, nothing went wrong and considering that there's hand quilting, patchwork, bias binding involved, I am surprised myself. This could also be classed as a tutorial as I give you all of the steps you need in order to make your own easy quilt! For my daughter's first birthday I wanted to gift her a quilt. Something that she could use and she could hold on to for as long as she wants to. In my mind I see this quilt being passed down to her children, but I don't know if that's wishful thinking. For this quilt I didn't pick a pattern I chose what my heart loved and went for it. I had so much fun sewing the pieces together, then sewing the rows together and then my favourite part hand stitching the quilt together. Such a therapy, better than many things on this earth. I finished the quilt with bias binding and wow! I am in love. This baby quilt is beyond what I expected it to be. It has come out so, so well and I am in love. This handmade quilt that I have sewn is not perfect in any way but it is beautifully imperfect and carefully handmade.
