Advanced Lightning Protection Systems Ltd. - Fully British designed, engineered, tested & proven ESE (early streamer emission) lightning devices. www.alpsystemsltd.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AdvancedLightningProtection/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/ALPSLightning LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/advanced-lightning-protection-systems-ltd How it works 1. As the build up to a strike is occurring the electric field around the ALPS ESE rises. This static charge flows through the top winding of the pulse transformer and begins to charge the capacitor. 2. When the device is charged and a strike is imminent the device activates the release of the accumulated energy. Once the energy is released it produces an upward leader, which is artificially created and is produced very quickly. 3. The upward leader delivers a low-impedance ionised route for discharge to earth of the energy gathered, by the way of the system’s down-conductor's We have designed and engineered our early streamer emission systems from the ground up in the UK. Our ESE devices have been carefully designed by our highly skilled and experienced engineers for the easiest installation possible. The ALPS ESE has a curved top designed to act as an umbrella preventing rain penetrating the device, the pole structure has also been designed to withstand high speed winds with a Factor of safety over 2 for winds up to 100 mph. Our devices are manufactured to ISO 9001: 2015 quality standards and have been tested to NFC 17 102: 2011
